What people say about us?
I’m an inherent worrier that beats themselves up harder than anyone in a governor’s position. I have a theory that if I don’t try to find a better way of doing something, then I’m the one who’s failing.
I contacted Mike (Rolfe), told him what was happening, he contacted Aaron (Stowe) our area rep, he contacted me immediately and I gave him the bare bones. My history, my feelings, everything laid bare. Between those two amazing people, they did more for me in 48 hours than the previous union had done in 2 months.
My previous rep was on shielding. Not one of the other reps or chairman, secretary asked me if I needed help. They didn’t ask how I was. The area rep emailed me after the date of my taped investigation asking me how it went. I didn’t need to reply. I had Aaron with me. Whilst awaiting a decision he messaged me many times asking if I was ok, (knowing I stressed), if he could do anything and to contact him if I needed him.
He’s been amazing and luckily for me, the fact he asked the right questions in the taped interview, I’m sure progressed the case to the right result. The only thing I would say to you is, these staff, knowledgeable staff will assist you and progress you with the right intentions and information. It will without a doubt be the best change you can make.
They made my life a lot easier and less stressful knowing they were there beside me not behind me.
It will be the best decision you make.
